I was born in a town called Anthony, Kansas in 1945. When I grew up, I went to school in Wichita and was a member of the Boy Scouts.

Here I am as a child. You can see that I liked riding toy vehicles!
I went to college at the University of Kansas (KU) and graduated in 1970. Then, I went to law school at Washburn University and got my law degree in 1970. After graduating, I joined the Army. When I came back from the Army, I started working as a lawyer in 1973.
Three years later, in 1976, I was voted as District Attorney in Johnson County. That meant that I was the lawyer who took all criminals in Johnson County to court. I was District Attorney for 12 years, and during that time, people said that I was a tough but very fair man.
In 1998, I was voted as congressman. Since then, I have been working hard for the people in my district (the area in Kansas that I represent).
I have a very loving family. My wife's name is Stephene, and she is a nurse. Mrs. Moore and I have seven children and eight grandchildren. I am home on the weekends and love to play my guitar, spend time with my family, and meet people like you.
